Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his interest in returning to the Premier League has lessened and he is willing to discuss a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is at the moment two years through the four-year deal he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the offseason of 2023.
The veteran forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which was the initial important achievement of his illustrious career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier stated that he would welcome to see Kane return to England, where he lacks 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England leader has now clarified that he is no longer as eager about going back home as he previously was, and would seriously contemplate lengthening his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he commented.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Milestone Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top scorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy drought, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
